Maafushi is voted the most popular local island in the Maldives. It has become a popular destination because of its proximity to Malé and its transport hubs. Maafushi is only 26 km from Malé, and there is daily return transportation if you want to spend a day in Malé.
The island is only 1270m x 265m, so getting from one side to the other is a breeze. Walk around the island enjoying local street food, seafood, western food and many more! The island has a ton of water activities too including windsurfing, tube rides, jet-skiing, flyboarding, parasailing, kayaking, kitesurfing, paddle boarding and the famous jet-ski cars.
Staying on this local island allows you to experience the “real” Maldives. Mocktails and non-alcoholic drinks are served on the island only. Alcohol is illegal in the country, BUT there is a floating bar (yacht) just offshore. At nightfall, you and your friends can enjoy some drinks and dancing on the yacht with music, lights and a beach vibe. Do not forget about the beach parties with DJ Sam on the Island.

Your adventure to the sandbank starts with a cruise, snorkelling at 2 different points and Dolphin Cruise. As you snorkel in these unbelievably beautiful reefs, you will come across an abundance of marine life, a multitude of colourful fish, Turtles and even Sharks may be the highlight of the trip. Experience the thrill of a tiny, deserted beach, surrounded by the crystal-clear waters and coral reef with the ultimate privacy. Snorkelling in the house reef of the sandbank island is a must try experience. A packed lunch and bottled drinks are served to each guest on the sandbank and are accompanied by our excursion guides throughout the adventure.

Vaavu Atoll’s well known Alimatha House Reef, 30 minutes away from Maafushi island, is home to a lot of nurse sharks, Giant Travelly, Eagle Rays & etc. There can be a bit of strong current pressure where guests are able to have a real close interaction of about 60 minutes with this harmless sleeping beauties. On this high adrenaline trip, we will take you to the remote and unexplored Sandbank nearby, Fulidhoo Island which is famous for its extremely beautiful turquoise lagoon with numerous fishes & Stingrays. After exploring and having lunch on the sandbank, our journey will head towards an end after seeing the stingrays.

Explore beyond Male’ Atoll; A Full day Adventure trip to Vaavu Atoll to Explore its beauty. Main highlight of the trip is Snorkelling at Shipwreck famously known as “REAL BREAK” – A semi submerged wreck in Vaavu Atoll. Abandoned ships like these become artificial reef over time attracting marine life and becomes hotspots of biodiversity. Jump and freedive in this location with crystal clear water with a depth of about 3-13 meters. The water is so clean that you can see the whole ship from above. There is a high chance of experience swimming with turtles on this trip. Before heading back, our guides will take you to a picnic island in Vaavu Atoll to have lunch. On the way, guides will be looking for dolphins spinning and enjoying before we end explore beyond the trip.
