Dream. Explore. Discover

Writing my first blog I thought would be easy, but with so many ideas…where do I start?

After some thought, I have decided to start at the beginning.

From a young age we had to move a few times for my dad’s work. I was always the first to pack up my room, nervously excited about the new unknown. During June school breaks me and my brothers would visit my grandparents. I would explore their back garden creating my own world of adventure. I could listen to my grandmother for hours telling me about their train trips across the country and the adventures they had.

Adventure and excitement of the unknown fascinated me, sometimes creating my own world of adventure as I grew older.

In my matric year (Gr 12) my parents decided that we as a family should go on a train trip across a few provinces in South Africa. My mom planned everything to a T and it was the first time I felt at home. I knew then that I was born to travel and explore.

Shortly after I met my husband he wanted to introduce me to his family and we did a quick road trip to PE and surrounding areas. We had quite an adventure and the memories will last a lifetime. For our honeymoon, I bought a Getaway magazine. With my eyes closed, I pointed to the map of the Western Cape and off we embarked on our honeymoon adventure.

Then came our children, and from a very young age, I introduced them to travel. While dad was on a hunting or fishing trip, we would pack our bags once again to travel and explore.

The desire to travel grew stronger and stronger. I had the opportunity to visit family in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My first trip abroad without my husband and kids was an adventure filled with nerves and excitement. Melanie, who lived in Kuala Lumpur at that time, took us (me and my mother-in-law) to places you would not necessarily see on a guided or even a normal solo or family trip.

I realized then that this is the way I want to travel. Experience the essence of both worlds.

Since then I have had another opportunity to take my family abroad and let them experience the joy of exploring the world. On this trip, I gained the confidence to trust the process, even when you’re a bit lost or even scared at times. After all, it is an adventure.

As a result of my recent trip to Maafushi Island, Maldives, I knew that I had to show others what a wonderful and mesmerizing world we live in. Help others make their dreams of exploring the world a reality with personalized planning as a comfort and assurance that there is someone keeping it all together.

Besides pouring my heart and soul into every trip I plan for others, I will also have group trips. This is where you can travel and explore beauty and wonder in my footsteps.

I am blessed to travel and explore and share this gift with others.
